This was the beginning of the end of trucking for me. I was broke down in Syracuse, NY, for way too long. It was the most expensive "vacation" I've ever had, and it wasn't voluntary. Running a business that costs money every day I'm sitting had me question if it was time for a change.
Sitting in that hotel room made me realize that the most important thing in the world was 1500 miles away. None of this was worth it without him. I can make games anywhere (literally... I proved it).
My plan to get my own game going while recovering financially was working, but I no longer needed to be on the road. I now had options. One of which was to get out of trucking and this breakdown convinced me it was time to pivot.
Also, I hired a Pixel Artist and talked about that process a bit.
This is also the calmest devlog yet.
