Scrum Talk Daily - # 15
Scrum Events # 5 - Sprint Retrospective

The purpose of the Sprint Retrospective is to plan ways to increase quality and effectiveness. The Scrum Team identifies the most helpful changes to improve.

The Scrum Team discusses what went well during the Sprint, what problems it encountered, and how those problems were (or were not) solved.

This is the meat and potatoes of improving the team and where teams need to concentrate to exercise the 3 pillars of the empirical process: Transparency, Inspection, and Adaptation.

Sprint Retrospectives are for the Scrum Team only. Outside management having a presence in such meetings might cause Scrum Teams to feel "under investigation" and not be fully Transparent.

The Sprint Retrospective concludes the Sprint and is 3 hours or less.

As a Scrum Master, how how do you present Sprint Retrospectives to keep them interesting? What habits do you teach your team to engage and improve during a Retro?
